SUP Yoga & Health Retreat

If having fun, making new friends, having incredible experiences out in nature and eating delicious and healthy food appeals to you then look no further.  These retreats offer the perfect balance between an action-packed itinerary and relaxation time.  By the end of the week we guarantee you’ll feel inspired, motivated and bursting with a renewed energy.

 

On our SUP Yoga and Health retreats you’ll learn new skills, take your fitness to the next level, explore magical Ibiza from both land and water, discover unforgettable places, taste healthy food from a different perspective and get a taster for a whole new lifestyle.  At the core of these retreats is our goal to bring people together and forge new friendships. So, whether you come on your own or with others, this week is all about feeling part of a tribe and creating lasting memories together.

Life is about balance.  What better way to balance out our hectic modern lifestyles than to experience the fun and freedom of practicing your yoga poses on a stand-up paddle board, under the warm rays of the Mediterranean sun?  Just imagine listening to the sounds of the sea as your soundtrack to a meditative flow sequence, whilst you connect with nature from your board.  You will visit idyllic and very special, lesser known beaches as well as undiscovered coves (some of which have legends attached to them).  With daily changing backdrops, it truly is, a unique and special way to discover the island.

SUP Yoga

Whether you are a newbie to SUP yoga, looking to improve your skills or step things up to a more challenging level, our programme has been cleverly designed by Shankara (our SUP yoga instructor) to build techniques, increase flexibility and core strength and all whilst having fun!  SUP yoga is a great way of exercising and to de-clutter your mind, as you focus on core muscles, required to work harder than in a studio workout, to balance and support you on the lapping water.

 

Days will incorporate a more ‘active’ section when we take to the water to practice or improve SUP skills whilst exploring the stunning Ibizan coastlines.  After this we will visit a more peaceful spot to enjoy an hour’s yoga session on the boards.  Unlike some SUP schools we never stay in one location.  Daily sessions all start from different beaches to keep things interesting, allowing you to discover this breath-taking island in a more adventurous way by water.

 

Teachers will ensure all novices will receive the attention and guidance to rapidly build enough skills and confidence to enjoy the sessions alongside the more experienced SUP yogis in no time.  By the end of the week everyone will be enjoying the sunset SUP excursion on the final day like the pros!  In addition, daily optional Yin or Power classes led by Anneke are available on the outdoor yoga deck or by the pool.

A Taste of Ibiza

Ibiza has so much to offer, that your week also includes a variety of excursions, workshops and activities – so you get a good taste of island life during your stay. You can expect: a sunrise yoga session followed by a healthy breakfast at one of Ibiza’s secret beaches; a visit to San Joan’s artisan market famous for its warm atmosphere and reflective of the hippy vibe the island is so famous for; a silent guided meditation walk followed by a picnic out in nature; lunch in the gorgeous orchard gardens of the iconic ‘La Paloma’ restaurant – and of course, a trip to Ibiza town (did someone mention shopping?)

Relaxation

Making sure you have time to relax and unwind during your stay is so important to us that we treat everyone to a delicious pampering session with one of our amazing therapists.  And being blessed with such long hours of sunlight here on the island there’ll be plenty of time to lounge by the pool, read your book or have some quiet ‘me time’ in one of our gorgeous chill-out areas.

Glorious Food

So what else apart from SUP Yoga, meditation, fun, exploring the island and relaxation? We are really into healthy food and have a passion for living food, amazing flavours and beautiful looking dishes. We don’t think there is anything more relaxing and enjoyable than sharing healthy food with friends. At Morna plant-based food, amazing flavours and beautiful looking dishes are what we are passionate about. To share this passion and vision with you we have teamed up with some incredible chefs (you will love these guys) so you can experience the true heights that plant based food can reach. Our meals are 50% raw, 50% cooked but 100% vegan and 100% delicious. For the people convinced RAW and Vegan food is boring, only served cold, not filling and tasteless we have made it our mission to prove this couldn’t be further from the truth! Expect our sensational versions of sushi, burgers, guilt-free cheesecake and more.  To boost your immune system Cold-pressed green juices will be served daily – all made with local fruit and vegetables and bursting with flavour, living enzymes and lots of goodness.

 

The retreat programme also includes a fun and interactive workshop with our chefs.  You will learn how to cook RAW meals, make healthy bread and amazingly tasty RAW vegan desserts – because we want you to be able to create your own dishes and continue feeling the benefits once you are home – and once you have tasted our food so will you.
