From our handpicked selection of the highest calibre chefs to be found on the island to our well established relationships with local farms and suppliers of organic, island grown produce, our expertise and insider knowledge allows us to nourish you from the inside out!
At Morna Retreats, our focus is most definitely on 100% vegan, plant based dishes, and so we have a myriad of wholesome and invigorating array of ingredients, recipes and cooking methods to ensure you reap all of the benefits this life transforming way of eating has to offer. When hosting retreats in Ibiza, using seasonal produce is also of the utmost importance to us, and luckily, this time of year offers an abundance of fabulously fresh, in season vegetables, pulses and fruits to delight your palate and boost your energy levels. Celeriac, celery, kale, grapefruits, parsnips, pomegranates, broccoli and sweet potatoes are all at their very best during the months of February and March and can be used in so many different ways to enhance, enrich and create divine dishes.
Think of warming broths, packed with ginger, garlic, sweet potatoes and parsnips, perhaps adding a touch of organic miso and some fresh, local chillies to pack a little punch. Or why not create a power juice to kickstart your day using celery, apples, kale and avocado, mixed with organic almond milk or water, depending on your taste, such an easy and delicious way to up your daily vitamin and mineral intake.
At Morna Retreats, we harbour a not so secret passion for curries, and so, when we launched our new stunning retreat venue, Can Shui, located in the beautiful campo of San Miguel, we decided to invite some island friends and family to ´christen´ our new retreat home with a fabulous yoga class from the lovely Anneke, a perfect way to breathe life into this most idyllic retreat venue. The class of course raised our energies, and left us ready and waiting to enjoy an invigorating and nutritious delicious Thai veggie curry, (pictured), cooked with love and affection by one of our most lovely talented chefs, Monica.
